To help reduce the volume of daily information you receive, we are attempting to abbreviate “The Beacon” newsletter into a more concise list of significant events that may be of interest to you. Please feel free to follow the links for detailed information or contact our office at 757.599.6617. (This letter)
Our Spring Reunion is scheduled for May 9, 2026. We'll start with donuts and coffee at 8:00 AM, followed by the main event at 8:30 AM. Currently, we have only three candidates, but we're hopeful for more. For more details, click here: Spring Reunion.
Would you like to play a round of golf to help support our work for the Scottish Rite Childhood Speech & Language Center at Old Dominion University, then sign up a team (so you can play with your buds), yourself, or sponsor a hole for the 22nd Annual Illustrious William M. Johnson, 33°, Memorial Golf Tournament on June 4, 2026? Click here: Golf Tournament.
Want to know what is going on Masonically in our District? We are physically located in the 14th Masonic District of the Grand Lodge, A.F. & A.M., of Virginia, but we have Lodges in other districts that support us, like Districts 11, 31, and 57. So we have what we call the “Tri-District” Calendar, check it out.
Our Knights of Saint Andrew are sponsoring a Freemasonry Springs into Summer picnic on May 30, 2026. This is open to ALL masons, their families, and guests. There will be plenty of free food, drinks (non-alcoholic), and fellowship. There will also be a cornhole tournament (lodge vs. lodge or individuals), check it out at KSA picnic.
Our Semi-Annual Fresh Sausage grind and sale will be held this year after Easter, rather than our usual sale before Easter. We need volunteers to help make the sausage, pack it, and get it ready for sale. We will be doing this on Wednesday, April 29. The cost of the sausage will be $7 per pound. Presales are very important. Please help sell to your friends, neighbors, and relatives, click here.
Fraternally yours,
Ill. Bruce L. Edwards, 33°
